Woodland Retreat

Just had a lovely 2 night stay at woodland retreat. Lovely lodge , quiet location, clean inside and outside! The wine and box of sweets were a very welcome touch! Thank you!

On the first day when we arrived and the next morning, the hot tub was great ! By the end of the second day and the morning of the third day - the water was cold! We did not understand the reason why this happened, This upset us and our daughter a little bit

The location that was all, although a taxi into Alnwick is £40 return.

Dirty, tired and unloved property. Fingernail under cushion, dirty loo brush, dirty curtains and bed base. Wasps nest. Rusty outdoor furniture, weeds. Dirty sink, stained tea cups. Peeling laminate on cupboards. Stained rusty radiators. Booked 3 day stay and left a day early, as we felt grubby and dirty in there. Messaged the owners as we paid £600 for 3 nights but they wouldn't compensate us in any way for leaving early. This is an extortionate cost for this property. We have stayed in many caravans and lodges and are willing to pay good money for a good clean property. Be warned, book this if you want an old dirty caravan.

Only one which is not a major Beds not comfy at all very hard and quite small bedding and pillows could do with an upgrade

As all caravans the second room is a child’s twin room & very small. The hot tub is not enclosed, didn’t matter to us however for people with children or dogs who cannot be left inside alone this wasn’t very clear

Hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. The cabin was lush inside. Hot tub was good and nice and quiet.

There wasn't a huge amount around to do especially with children and so had to travel. The play park had some kind of animal poo in one of the tunnels and bird nesting in one of the slides.

Beautiful location and quiet. All dog and child friendly

Wi-Fi available and the dining room chairs were broken (although this was fixed)
