Location and place excellent, comfortable and quiet.

Booking.com didn’t specify which apartment we had booked and didn’t send us the entry code. So we had a good 30 minute outside the appointment trying to convince the staff to let us in.

Erg mooie lokatie en goed appartement. Niet handig als je slecht ter been bent, is wel een klimmetje bij nodig.

The Little One room is located in a fantastic position within the historic walls of Óbidos and is part of a very old and charming house. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. See below

The room layout was completely different from the photos shown on Booking.com. The sofa was positioned between the bed and the bathroom wall, leaving very little space to move around. The bed was pushed too close to the wardrobe that we couldn’t open the doors, and there was no practical space to store our luggage. There’s a damp smell in the bathroom, that needs attention. To access the wardrobe, we had to push the bed further away and move sofa to front of bed. We had trouble closing both the wardrobe door and the entrance glass door. Overall, the room was too small and over crowd with many furnitures. Less functional than expected from the listing photos. While the location is excellent, the accommodation did not meet our expectations, and unfortunately, I would not recommend this room.

The room itself was amazing.

The lounge in the room makes the room feel cluttered and small. Also better instructions to locate the apartment would be great.

The ground-floor apartment is part of a very old house that sits within the fortress walls of Óbidos, amongst its white-washed neighbours, cobbled streets, and small colourful gardens. We found the bed comfortable and the shower hot. The kitchen area is small but has everything that you need to self-cater, and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes in and around the town.

We found the air in the apartment a bit damp, although there was no obvious problem with leaking water or mold. I think it was a function of the building being very old and built of stone. There was a dehumidifier provided which helped a lot. However, this may be a problem for anyone with respiratory issues.

Die Lage direkt innerhalb der Stadtmauer ist super. Unbezahlbar durch den Ort zu bummeln wenn die Tagestouristen weg sind, . Die Wohnung selbst war auch sehr schön. Abends herrscht dort eine herrliche Ruhe.

Nach der Beschreibung hatten wir einen Parkplatz vor Ort erwartet. Wir mussten aber vor der Stadtmauer parken und unser Gepäck zur Unterkunft über Kopfsteinpflaster etc. transportieren. Das ist schon etwas mühsam. Das Bad ist sehr klein. Der Kontakt mit dem Gastgeber war etwas schwierig oder eher "belastet". Ich habe eine sehr schnippiche Antwort auf eine Frage erhalten. Das fand ich befremdlich.
