Katie’s Cottage

It was just perfect for us 3 girls and the dogs. Beautiful quaint Irish cottage that was so charming with the most glorious gardens. The hosts Brian and his wife were on hand if needed but didn’t interfere at all and just let us get on with things … only in the next property if we wanted anything or responded to messages promptly. Couldn’t fault anything about the cottage, its location and just the overall experience was perfect - and if they’ll have us….. we’ll happily be back 🥰

Nothing really … hot water from taps would have been nice but the shower was great and to boil the kettle was no hardship …. It all added to the overall charm. It does have a small set of very steep stairs to the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms and not ideal for anyone who is unsteady on their feet or young children but does have a huge downstairs bedroom that would accommodate them. It is highlighted is the booking details so wasn’t a surprise to us .. these are just very minor details and certainly didn’t detract from our stay …. We loved it 🥰

Quaint and cozy cottage in the Irish countryside. It was nice to be able to shop for food and cook our own meals. Definitely gave us a more authentic experience than the city hotel we stayed in on the first leg of our trip. The hosts were incredibly helpful, especially for us Americans traveling abroad for the first time with lots of silly little questions.

Nothing against the cottage but as first time driver’s on the left side of the road- the country roads leading to the cottage were quite scary as first. Though all the locals were very patient with us newbies.
