"Wonderful holiday home."

10.0

Mick’s Cottage is becoming one of our favourite places to stay in Galway. It’s really spacious, really comfortable, spotlessly clean and the view from the living area is fantastic. And - for personal reasons, the name of the cottage hits right at our hearts! 😎

There really is nothing to dislike about this cottage.

"Close to town, but secluded"

10.0

Bright colors and a garden view made this location special.

Directions were a bit confusing, but the hostess was very responsive and directed us by phone and met us at the driveway.

"Even beyond my expectations"

10.0

The location felt like it was far off in the forest, but it was a convenient drive to town. The cottage was beautiful, new, clean, spacious, and so comfortable for a family of four. As Americans on our first visit to Ireland, there were a couple of things we didn't know how to use in the house (mainly the oven), but one phone call and our lovely hostess popped right over and everything ran smoothly from there. I was especially glad we had a reason to call her as she was so nice and we had a great conversation with her.

Comfortable house, in a quiet location with views over Lough Rea. Keys were left available to us and owner came over to greet us and show us around upon arrival. Plenty of seating areas in the living areas and throughout the house. The only downside would be lack of footpath to enable visitors to walk down to the Lough, and road busy. Close to explore Galway, the Burren and Cliffs of Moher.

See above point regarding footpath. Lack of instructions regarding rubbish and departure instructions, although owner quick to respond regarding questions.

"Wonderful place and host. Highly recommended"

10.0

Wonderful host who was very quick to respond to any questions/issues. Well appointed with everything we needed (kitchen, washer, drying rack, etc) for longer stays. Private access and parking at the front door. Just 2 mins drive to the CBD. I would highly recommend the property and the host. Private garden and lovely views of the countryside and sunsets over the nearby lake. We used the property as a base for day trips to Galway, Cork, Limerick, Tipperary, etc.

Evetything was near perfect. Euro 2024 (football) tournament was on, so a bigger screen TV would be a nice luxury but existing TV was perfecrly fine.

We had originally booked to stay here for six days. But we were so happy with everything we extended for a few more days. I highly recommend this property, particularly for longer stays

Everything was great and there was nothing to dislike
