Ash Lodge

Ash Lodge is a very quiet place to stay - besides the very friendly owners of the estate only cattle, sheep and rabbits are around. The available space is huge, the kitchen is very well equipped and has been used by us extensively. All rooms are in excellent condition as well painted and decorated with good taste. We have been enjoyed support to identify the best time for our walk to Coney Island (a MUST!) and were allowed even to use washing machine and dryer. The WLAN is fully functional, the bath rooms very nice and tidy.

There is no Pub or restaurant nearby - you need a car and a 15 ride for getting anywhere; in case you really want to get away from here ;-)

Owner is the "super cheap and don' t care" person. She will save couple euro even that will suffer her custmer. We beg her to turn on heater because temperature drop to 7-8 C at night but she still shut down the heater. We have to sleep wearing sweater to keep ourselves warm. You have to share dryer with her, she keeps it in another building with no light. You have to carry wet cloth walk to another dark building to dry your cloth. We stronly reccommend not to rent apartment from "don' care" owner because she will not help or fix another problem at all.

We were welcomed by Maura who was so nice and helpful, she showed us all around this wonderful clean and tidy house there were complementary breakfast food which we did not expect and milk in the fridge, with 2 bathrooms with excellent showers , Maura had backed scones for us which were delicious.

This was a perfect rural airb&b We had no negative opinion .

Great hosts, great location.

Very clean,warm,comfortable accommodation. The house was a home away from home. It had all you needed including warm home made scones on arrival.

The location is a bit out of the way, BUT it is ideally situated for kilronan castle if attending a function there.

Lovely big house very clean and had some food and coffee when we arrived. We were there for a wedding and this was a perfect location, the lady that owned it was also lovely.

The showers were a little bit dodgy and hot water ran out quite quickly, but there was six of us and you just have to hold the shower down for it to work.
