Small gravel road hard to see at night maybe put a solar light on it

Cozy little place in a very quiet spot. We liked the cabin/homey feel.

The shower was a little small for comfort, and the location is a bit deceiving if you don’t know your way around Yosemite. Sure it’s “30 minutes from the South Gate” but we didn’t realize that there was still and hour and a half drive into the park where all the major stuff was. Just entirely too much driving after having driven so far to get to Yosemite.

My wife wanted to see Yosemite. I found Acorn Cottage and it fit our budget. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised. I would recommend anyone looking for a place to stay near Yosemite to try Acorn Cottage.

The bunk bed's lower bed, really not ideal for couple. So my wife took lower bunk, I slept in upper bunk. Wife said best sleep she had in years. Don't know if it was mattress or laughing at my climbing ladder to upper bunk.

Location was okay. It might work okay for a day or two.

It was just too small for a 7 day stay for 2 people. A little hard to find. I didn’t get my instructions until after I got there, since I got there before 3pm when they sent the info. At that time I did not have any service to get my email.

Very good location for the price and was the perfect place to come back to rest to.

Nothing

This is a very tiny cottage, or a hut. It has everything you need except for space for your personal belongings. It is relatively close to the Yosemite park and it is both quiet and yet close to the road. It is within a short drive to the Oakhurst town. It was clean, private, with fully equipped kitchenet. We enjoy our time there and would definitely recommend the place.

Considering how small the space is, I would add some hooks and hangers around the house and perhaps a little less kitchen utensils in favour of some space for the personal and food items. I don't think I would ever manage to cook there anything more than scrambled egg- type of dishes (although you get all the tools to make a full-blown dinner really, you just have to use what you bought on the day), so personally I would rather have more space for storage. But It was a nice cottage nevertheless and we kept some of our stuff outside in the car so it can be managed.

Truly a hidden gem. The cottage was very clean and in a quiet spot. we sat on the porch one night and enjoyed the quiet. The host was very nice and helpful. Close to restaurants, gas stations and stores.

Smaller than the pictures show but perfect for two people with little luggage.
