Jose´s Ha Uay House

Spacious, well designed beach villa, nicely decorated with owner’s nautical collections.. 3 comfortable bedrooms with heat pump AC were located on second level with private bathrooms in each, and an additional bedroom on main, also with ensuite bath, and a 5th general use bathroom convenient for access to living area. The MBR had access to a large balcony. The Kitchen was adequate with a large choice of dishes and small appliances including a blender and toaster oven. A couple of teflon pans were due for replacement, but otherwise a good selection of pots and kitchen gadgets. There was a limited selection of spices and other accoutrements so best to bring your own, especially as some seasonings are difficult to find here in Mexico. Wifi was quick, reliable and unlimited. The owner was quick to respond to any issuesour request for more towels and pool cleaning after the first week which sufficed for the remainder of our holiday.

Unfortunately there was only one small TV in the house, located in the master suite. There was no safety deposit box available for our valuables.There was also some demolition and reconstruction of the home next door, which affected our peaceful morning routine. Hopefully it will not be ongoing for much longer. Jose was understanding and made efforts to negotiate with workers to start their day a bit later. No washer or dryer, sink and clothesline for laundry or take it into town if longer than a few days. BBQ nis charcoal, not gas, so needs planning! Beach has deteriorated from storms since we were here 8 years ago,and more difficult to walk on. A few days we had foul smells when wind was from the northeast - rotting seaweed or swamp??
