The Plains Green

We like the overview of the bungalow. Other than that, it's not value for money. Need pest control n heating system. No proper information is provided.

There is no pest control in the room. Full of leeches, other insects. The hotel doesn't have any repellent for leech bites or any other repellent. The room was not clean as a chalet.

It’s about 15 minutes by tuk tuk from Ambewela station. gorgeous view from the property. great food at the restaurant too! i went to hike the horton’s plain very early in the morning, the staff prepared sandwiches for me.

alcohol license is still on the way, so the restaurant doesn’t sell booze.

Room was spacious with the view of their farm below and the hilla beyond.

They charged the specified 1/3 of the total 3 days before arrival through a third party - Ramya....". When I received notice from my bank about this transaction, I had to phone Plains Green to verify that it indeed was Plains Green.

The view was really amazing! And the staff really very nice and polite.

We stayed in 5 different hotels during our time in Sri Lanka and this was our absolute favourite! We even cancelled plans just to enjoy the property. Incredible views and so quiet, all you hear are birds. Food is good too. It’s in a quiet area off Nuwara Eliya closer to Horton Plains and really made our trip.

Nothing - it was perfect

Amazing hospitality. The manager Mr Nayan Wikramasinghe, the caretakers Mr Seelan and Elango, were simply amazing. They took care of all our needs and went over and above to make our stay memorable. The view and the setting amidst nature is simply the best. Additionally since it is outside Nuwara Eliya, it is away from all the hustle and bustle.
