An absolutely beautiful place to stay. Surrounded by bespoke artworks and eclectic furnishings, this property creates a funky yet very luxurious and comfortable feel.

Lovely clean and spacious home with wonderful facilities... very comfortable and well fitted out, with extra touches like music available, ice ready made in the freezer, etc. We loved our stay there. Highly recommend 👌

Whilst located very centrally (walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants), Black Luxury Lodge is a haven of serenity. The garden is charming and the house is totally private despite its location. Renovated to a very high standard with exceptional indoor-outdoor flow, there is every kitchen (or other) implement one could wish for and more - even cigar cutters!! Full of quirky art, with great wifi, and stereo. Perfect for one or two couples.

We're not as young as we once were and the beds were luxurious but soft, so not ideal for us. I expect they'd be fine for others.

Very comfortable home, all amenities we needed, BBQ a great addition on the deck and under cover (which was great as we had some rain). Location excellent, close to shops etc and to access the numerous wineries. Although we did not meet the hosts, the check-in was simple. Night recommend this property.

Very private and had absolutely everything you need, wonderful outdoor area as well.

The layout of the house built around the courtyard creates a very private space. Being down a right-of-way, it’s a quiet spot, and an easy stroll to town. I don’t think I’ve come across a house with such a wonderfully equipped kitchen! The glassware alone is an array of wine, sparkling, cocktail, highball - well, I think they’ve covered all possibilities! But not those cheap ones like you might rent, these are very classy glasses! Everything else that is in the kitchen has a designer’s touch and it made entertaining in the house such a pleasure. The colourful decor and artistic accessories created lovely spaces to enjoy. Our family came to see it and they all loved it. Some wanted to live here! The book with information and instructions was clearly written - this is the first induction stove we’ve been able to work successfully! And there’s no skimping on supplies - towels, toilet paper, washing powder, etc., are all well stocked. The beds felt soft when I sat on them, but proved to be very supportive and comfortable. We slept well and loved waking up to see the lemons abundant in the garden and the deck an inviting space for morning coffee and tea. It’s a great place for 2 couples as each bedroom has a bathroom - perfect! We loved staying here! The photos of the property are complete in the listing, so the photos I’ve posted will hopefully give you a feeling of our experience.
