Kirkdale Cottage

Hosts Dave & Helen very friendly and welcoming. Excellent facilities and stunning views from the cottage.

Great location. Secluded but within a short drive or walk to the main village. Quiet and comfortable. Adequate room to relax. Kitchen with enough appliances and kitchenware if you wanted to cook daily. Within good distance of good quality restaurants. Clean and warm with a good shower to clean up after a good stromp over the moors.

Beds were a little soft for me but other members of family were very comfortable so this is more personal preference.

Cottage & hosts were fantastic, as well as the people in the village of Sproxton. We felt right at home from the get-go. Great fireplace + wood.

Difficult walk to a pub (in winter - very muddy) on a public footpath.

Lovely location plenty of walks and great views. The cottage was warm and cosy very comfortable. The secure dog paddock was a great idea

Beautiful tranquil property, very comfortable and had everything we needed. Owners were lovely, on hand if we needed but allowed us our own privacy.

Location was beautiful and peaceful, but so close to Helmsley. Friendly hosts coped with long power cut and went beyond the call of duty with hot coffee on arrival and keeping us posted, along with a contribution from the power company towards a meal out. Such comfortable beds - slept like a log, most unusual! Cottage well equipped.

Really picky, but decalcify the shower head....
