Rye Court Cottage - Stunning cottage in central Helmsley with parking

The property location was great. Just behind the Main Street. The instructions on how to find the property were over complicated though and were more confusing than helpful. It just needs to say go down the road marked “private road”. The property undersells itself I think. It was nice and large with a well equipped kitchen and lots of easy parking space right in front. It was clean and comfortable. They also have children’s plates and cups and some books available.

We had an 18 month old with us. There was no high chair although the hosts said there would be. The cot was there. However it is a tiny porta cot and honestly o would think that any baby over 1 would feel squished. We had a 4 night stay and she was used to it by night 3. Also we had to push things to block the stairs as there isn’t a gate.

Position of key entry for adjacent properties is confusing.

Absolutely beautiful cottage, fresh and clean. Plenty of space and the beds were super comfy! This place had everything we needed including tea, coffee and sugar! I loved how many bathrooms there is which is perfect when there is a lot of you staying together. The Key access and access to the cottage was very easy.

We arrived in the dark so was a little hard to find but with a little walk around the area we found it.

could do with hooks or towel rail in bathrooms. the downstairs shower either requires a different tiling in the shower itself or at the very least a grab rail - I felt rather unsafe on the slippy floor in the shower. there wasn’t a towel provided in the downstairs toilet . neither did you supply any cleaning cloths/materials for surfaces in the kitchen. the kitchen bin had detritus in it when we arrived.
