Old Bridge End

Lovely touch.

Plumbing in bathroom. If the hot water was running in the kitchen the shower went freezing cold. If you flushed the loo then the tap in bathroom hardly ran.

The location was perfect, five minutes walk to centre. Clean, well equipped comfortable and host left a good supply of bread, milk, biscuits, cereal etc. The accomodation is spotless and the bed is very comfortable . No table to dine on but trays are provided. Excellent base to explore a beautiful and interesting area.

Everything, I can’t praise it enough. The property is a cost cottage with living room, kitchen with a washing machine, modern bathroom and very comfortable bedroom. It’s very short walk to the centre of Jedburgh and the historic site of Jedburgh Abbey. But the generosity of the host supply breakfast cereal,, bread, croissants, butter, jam marmalade, milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and coffee machine and more than adequate supply of pods was beyond anything we expected. I can’t recommend this property enough, oh and it’s in a quiet street with easy parking.

Old Bridge End is comfortable, well equipped and great value for money. The welcome pack of breakfast food and tea/coffee was generous and lasted for our stay. The location is lovely by the river and the old bridge into town, an easy walk. There is lots of information in the cottage about places to go nearby and walks out of Jedburgh which we made good use of.

This is no criticism of the cottage but be aware your satnav will probably try to bring you in via the old bridge, which is pedestrianised. The road in now is round the back of the cottage via Boundaries.

Location excellent. Parking right outside property and walkway straight into Jedburgh centre. Border country fabulous at that time of year. Weather perfect. Excellent location for whole of Border country and Edinburgh.
