You need to be mindful of stairs the property is on three floors, but it was a good work out!

Spotless quirky cottage two minute walk from town - perfect

A lovely quirky old building. It was clear a lot of thought and effort had gone into making it a really nice place to stay.

It’s on the corner over a road, so there was a lot of traffic noise from about 5.30am to around midnight. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night so there were people shouting in the street right outside until the early hours too.

Responsive host.excellent position for Stamfords facilities.

Ok for a couple of days but needs sorting out to be fair.dont book if you have problems with stairs.

Beautiful historic house. Excellent location. Very good facilities, everything that you would need was provided. Nice touch, bottle of wine in fridge, butter, jams, milk & croissants for breakfast. Tea towels, wash up liquid & cloths provided in kitchen. Lovely comfy beds & nice linen. Plenty of towels for use. Good shower. Good parking spot, Traffic warden helped us find it, it's over to left of house.

For us it wasn't a problem but to some it could be..steps down to kitchen were stone & at top quite narrow. Right-hand side of stairs going up to lounge are open, no rail on that side. Stairs upto bathroom & 3rd bedroom very steep. Hand rails there to steady yourself but if you're carrying cups/ plates etc a little precarious. Blinds/nets in dining room window would have been better so passers by couldn't watch us having breakfast or tea.
