Casa do Alto

le seul "inconvénient", c'est qu'il y a très peu de lumière du jour donc obligation d'allumer la lumière. Mais on est tellement bien sur les terrasse et c'est la conception de la maison qui veut ça. Mais ce n'est qu'un détail par rapport à tout le bien que nous pensons de ce lieu magique.

The House is a dream. As we imagined it. It’s far from the tumult but close to a river beach and a restaurant. It’s very romantic and in the typical style of the schist buildings of portugal. Besides of the very spacious balcony the house also has a veranda and a barbecue place. The furniture is nice and cosy and the kitchen is fully equipped and everything is there and very clean.

NO, ALL THE BUILDING WAS REALLY GOOD AND OF A HIGH STANDARD. ALSO EVERYTHING INSIDE WELL THOUGHT OUT, AND AGAIN A HIGH STANDARD THROUGHOUT.

Leaving after five nights !!! The very hard bed was a shock, but we still slept very well.

The terrace and location of this accommodation are incredible :)

This is the perfect place for a get away! The house is small, but very comfortable and fully equipped with whatever you might need. The surroundings are very nice, with just a few other houses, and nice walking routes by the river. We took our dog and it was heaven for her

No wifi

Gorgeous view, the sound of the waterfall, the swing, the well taken care off neighborhood cats, the massive rosemary plant, the sun terrace, the quiet and private location, the clean water and off course the friendly host!

I stayed at Casa do Alto for three nights in late October this year in 2023. I am working in Tourism and know about the hospitality business. I was seeking some calmness and beautiful nature. I was not disappointed at all. The accommodation provides you with everything you need. It’s clean and very thoughtful furnished. The surrounding is in a beautiful set up. I did some hiking, just starting in front of the house. Nearby are excellent trails for walks and rivers to swim or just for enjoying calmness and reading a book. I would recommend it everyone, who wants to get out of his routine and is openminded for a unique experience in a unique place, far away from everything but close enough to stay in touch with your normal life.
