Charming Two-Bedroom Artist's Residence in Central Penzance

Excellent position, quirky and interesting

So many stairs!

Lovely house. Full of charm and thoughtfully decorated. Comfortable and well equipped. Lovely courtyard garden to the rear. The owner of the property had very thoughtfully welcomed us with cookies and Cornish chocolate on our arrival. The Causewayhead itself has some lovely shops and is very quiet in the evenings. The owner was easy to contact and extremely helpful.

It is not a question of not liking, but the two staircases leading to the sitting room and bedrooms are extremely steep. This makes moving suitcases a little awkward. People of a certain age who have difficulty with stairs generally should think twice before staying. Second minor issue is parking. There are residential streets in the vicinity, but there were rarely parking spaces available. There is a short-stay carpark at the top of the Causewayhead, but it is expensive. We found ourselves having to park around 500 metres from the property. This was not particularly an issue for us, but it might be for others. The streets around the property are narrow. This is part of the very great charm of Penzance, but you need to be a confident driver. When leaving the property, you can drive down the Causewayhead to collect your cases etc., but otherwise the road is inaccessible and for pedestrians or shop owners only.

Very spacious and excellent kitchen and bathroom. Had everything you might need. Spacious and well laid out. Loved the quiet and private garden!

Was a bit difficult to find the place. Pics provided but a bit confusing. No info provided regarding where might leave luggage off the train and owner did not respond to email sent well ahead of time.

Good location easy walk to beach and town centre

Very steep stairs over 3 floors. In our opinion, not suitable for children or elderly people.

we love everything about this house. cosy, clean and neat. it is a cute Cornish house, everything is nearby and easily accessible. we love it !

Beautiful house with character in ideal location. Loved the decor and art. Charming garden.

Lots of stairs as on 3 floors. Maybe not ideal for people who struggle with stairs but fine for us.

Great location, everything on the doorstep in this lovely vibrant area.
