Stoop Cottage - in the heart of Quorn

It was clean, quirky and homely.

Beds in the second room not suitable for adults. Every thing else was lovely

Lovely host with lots of extra details - nice to have some tea, coffee and milk on arrival - plus delicious brownies. Really useful info provided about Quorn and nearby. Great location . Good to have two single beds in the other bedroom too as we were a family with kids .

Only small thing was that it would be nice to have curtains on the windows rather than blinds - as let quite a lot of light in . And am sure would help with warmth in the winter too. But otherwise a very comfortable cottage.

Lovely property, beautifully decorated, immaculately presented and sparklingly clean. Parking space at the front so no stress parking which is always a win. Lovely, welcoming owner who provided lots of helpful info. Cakes and milk on arrival. Heating was on so property was toasty and welcoming. Spare toothbrushes and feminine products a lovely touch for anyone who’s forgotten to pack these essentials. Handy hot water bottle available.

There was nothing to dislike 😊! However we have the below mentions which would take it from 9.5 /10 (9.5 wasn’t an option so we had to go 9 but truly Stoop Cottage is near perfect) to a 10/10. Batteries need changing in the torches in the bedrooms & one of the tv remotes. A shelf in the shower would be really helpful. Some sort of blind or curtain on the landing window as it does feel exposed especially when the beer garden is busy. The beds in the second bedroom could be improved as they are ‘not the most comfortable’ according to my teenager and would be teenager. Fridge is quite small for a family of 4 with boys who eat all the time but probably absolutely fine for most other groups of 4…. That all said we all agree that we’ve all had a fab time & would definitely come back here if we get chance.

Beautiful property in the heart of Quorn

Comfortable cottage located just outside the centre of the village, but near shops, park and bus stops. The owners had left a large supply of bread, tea, coffee, milk, etc etc. Very quiet at night, despite being on a through road and near a pub.

A draught excluder on the front door would have been useful given the sub-zero temperatures outside and some instructions for the kitchen equipment and "smart" TV (not everyone has one at home).

The extra finishing touches e.g. milk in the fridge, loaf of bread, mince pies , teas and coffee, all there ready for our use. Beautiful Christmas tree in the lounge. I left the cottage feeling refreshed and happy. Really looking forward to going again. Everything and everyone was catered for.

Lovely quaint cosy cottage. Lots of thoughtful goodies left, which were very welcome. Plenty of room and a parking space.
