La Tavernetta

Wow! Tina and Nicola are the warmest hosts and offer a beautiful apartment - 2 bedrooms, spacious bathroom, dining area, fully-equipped kitchen and comfortable sitting area. The garden just outside the apartment (exclusively for your use) had olive trees, herbs, roses and cherry trees with another dining table, loungers, barbeque grill and views of Mt. Etna to the south and hills and orchards to the north and east. Just beautiful! The whole apartment and grounds were neat and clean - shows the love and consideration these folks put into the property. On our first morning Tina appeared with a basket of eggs from her hens, homemade cherry jam and muffins. Nicola had placed a bottle of his homemade grappa in the unit and the fridge was stocked with butter, milk, water and a beer! A short walk to two grocery stores (including an Aldi) and about ten minutes walking to a pizzeria. A few minutes more and you're in the center of town - though the walk is along a busy street with only intermittent sidewalks. A real pleasure to stay here!

A beautiful and impeccably maintained house. It has a large table and gathering area open to the kitchen. Very inviting and so comfortable. Kitchen is organized with everything needed. Main bedroom is roomy and very comfortable. It was convenient to have a second toilet and sink (no shower) in the laundry room. Furniture, paintings, and decor are lovely. And then there is the outside of the house!!! The patio had a table, chairs, lounge chairs, a stone grill and beautiful gardens. The view from here is breathtaking. I wish we could have stayed longer. This is the perfect place to stay to explore nearby villages, wineries, and of course, Mt. Etna. Our hosts were kind and helped us with maps and suggestions of things to do. They even provided milk, coffee, muffins and their homemade jelly for us! The house is located at the very end of the road. You feel like you have arrived to a very elegant, gated villa. They also have two friendly dogs. Great to have parking. I can't say enough about how clean, perfect and inviting this B&B is. You will be glad you stayed!! I highly recommend it.
