The Cottage Hillside

I travelled with 2 adults and 2 children The cottage is beautiful, it is so inviting, cosy and spotlessly clean, I felt relaxed the minute I entered, it has everything you need (including board games). It is perfectly located, just outside Westport, a few minutes from Croagh Patrick with a view of the summit from one of the bedrooms. It is a short walk to the pier and the Abbey, with wonderful beaches and views, and a 2 minute stroll to the Tavern where the food, drinks and service are top class. I visit this part of the country often and have stayed in many places, this accommodation is now my favourite and I will definitely be back. Thank you

We loved the location and setting that the cottage is in. The design is so cool and fits so much comfort and character in to such a cosy little place. We spent our few nights here with the fire on, painting, reading, playing music and venturing out to explore all the beaches around Louisburgh, from Bertra to Silver Strand in the Lost Valley. It's just a quick spin into Wesport for music and pints. The kitchen was really well stocked and ready to do whatever cooking you wanted to. Our hosts were very attentive and helpful. Loved our time here and can't recommend highly enough. Big shout out to the collection of classic books in the house, only problem was we didn#t have enough time to read them all!!

Easy entry and everything was set out in a neat and accessible way.

Fabulous cottage in a great location for exploring Westport, Clew Bay, Croagh Patrick & beyond. Warm & cosy with everything you need for a great break.

The cottage was cozy, warm, and the water hot. While the fireplace did not generate much heat (could not adjust the flue damper) it did add a nice ambience. The proximity to Westport was great and the setting charming.

Wish we had know the water supply was non-potable when making the reservation. Based on the signage in the cottage this was not a new development. Was also surprised to find the laundry facilities were located in an unheated shed.

Beautiful cozy cottage had everything we needed

Nice and quiet, got a great night's sleep. Lovely traditional style home. Closely located to croagh Patrick and the tavern pub.

Nothing much to dislike, the doors are low but that was more of my problem because I'm 6ft4.
