"Exceptional"

Games room was lovely surprise. The house was recently decorated, everything felt new, clean and uncluttered. The WiFi connection was good. Plus we enjoyed the use of the fire TV stick.

More saucepans would have been helpful to prepare family meals. There is no window screening in the back shower room.

The new shower suite is just amazing. The fireplace in the sitting room is just the perfect room to unwind and enjoy with family and friends. It’s cozy and warm and fully relaxes you. I love the kitchen at Longhill Farmhouse. It’s fully stocked with everything you need. It’s big and bright, cooking in it is a joy. The beautiful large garden outside provides wide open views of the night sky and the stars and Milky Way are so clear and visible. This makes a great trip for us stargazers and Astro photographers.

There’s nothing to dislike about Longhill.

"A great house for a family holiday and we will be looking to book again in the future"

On arrival we there was homemade lemon drizzle cake, tea, coffee and milk along with fresh flowers to welcome us to the house. There was plenty of room for a family with excellent sized bedrooms, high quality bedding and comfortable beds. Having 2 bathrooms was ideal.

As it was on farm land there were a lot of flies including dead ones in the light fittings. The dishwasher had seen better days and the freezer was noisy at night & could be heard in the bedroom above. Due to location the internet speed was limited but understandable due to location.

Don't follow the like for directions. Put the postcode into Google maps manually.

We so enjoyed the tranquil location of Longhill Farmhouse - close to all of our favourite Galloway places and yet secluded and peaceful. We arrived to find this lovely light and airy house sparkling clean and fresh - a delicious home-made cake had been left for us to enjoy ... we were very soon feeling utterly relaxed and at home! Just myself and my partner - but Longhill would make the ideal family holiday destination - so much for kids to enjoy and adults will be delighted, too!
