Chestnut Cottage, Shanklin Rural Retreat

I’ve stayed in many holiday homes/Air B&B’s and this was by far the best I’ve EVER stayed in. Everything about it screams quality and tranquility with its exceptional location and stunning interior. I can’t recommend this cottage enough to be honest. 10/10 Also Maria (the owner) was fantastic at all times and even left some items in the fridge for us for when we arrived and lots of delicious biscuits which we really appreciated and enjoyed. We will 1000% be coming back in the foreseeable future.

Beautifully clean, everything we needed, amazing location which was actually better than expected for visiting the beach in the old town of Shanklin, garden area is lovely very spacious and well equipped for a family with a little one

The only minor thing and it’s really minor is that in one of the bedrooms there were no curtains and quite a lot of light comes through in the morning which wakes you up a bit earlier than you’d want the shutters are fine but the difference between the two bedrooms and the quality of sleep was a thing

Really lovely cottage nice and clean and very well kitted out. Great location and parking was never an issue. Loved how cosy it was in the evening.

The only thing that could have been better were the beds, too small and uncomfortable however it could not outweigh the good points of the property
