Location, location. Not more than 15 min walking to market, beaches, monuments. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Apartment was nicely furnished and spacious for 2 people.

With the stone walls it was cool and clothes didn’t dry.

We had a few exchanges before the host agreed that we don’t need to pay extra for the booking we made as we were clear about who will be staying from the start. The location was nice, the air from air conditioning had a moldy smell - we stayed in February, so we had to use it to warm the place up. The apartment is nicely decorated, but some of the furnishings would benefit from an update.

We stayed here for one night in February. Right after booking, the host contacted me asking for an extra charge for our 17-year-old child – even though I had clearly listed all guests and their ages during the booking process, and the policy at the time stated that children aged 18 and over are charged as adults. This policy was changed after our booking to "13+". At first, the host insisted on the extra payment and suggested we pay the difference at check-in. Only after I raised concerns did they admit the mistake was due to Booking's system and told us everything was fine – but this created unnecessary stress. The apartment looks great in photos – nicely decorated and styled – but the experience didn’t match: - It was cold and humid. - The only heating was a moldy-smelling AC unit in the living room. - The bedroom had no heat source at all. - We had to dig up extra duvets just to be warm enough to sleep. - The sofa bed linen was damp and stained – we had to change the sheets ourselves before using it. - The toilet seat was too small for the bowl and visibly stained. Despite all this, we left a kind handwritten note with suggestions, including checking the AC filter and improving heating in the bedroom. We received no response. Additionally, although the booking confirmation stated “Final price (taxes included): €74.98” and “A City tax is applicable, charges may vary,” we were asked to leave €8 in cash at the apartment, supposedly to cover taxes – another unclear and undocumented request. In my first review, I shared this feedback politely and factually. The host responded by accusing me of lying and claiming I confused the apartment – which is simply not true. I’m now posting this updated review with clear evidence of our communication to set the record straight.

This apartment is in the perfect location, close to lots of shops and restaurants but in a quiet street. It was great to be able to pop back to have some lunch and a rest and escape the heat of the day! It also had good wi-fi, a comfortable bed, air-conditioning, washing machine and a nice little kitchenette. The host Cristina was also kind and helpful, making it possible for us to check in early after a long morning of travel.

A few things unfortunately had a negative impact on our stay: 1. The next door neighbours who the apartment shares a courtyard with were very loud and disruptive 2. The feature stone wall in the bedroom was crumbling, disturbing us in the night as bits fell off and hit the ground 3. The washing machine door kept getting stuck, and on one cycle, water escaped flooding the kitchen

Beautifully decorated apartment in a great location in Ortigio. Easy walk to all the sites, as well as restaurants, bakeries, and a convenience store/market, which had great cold meats, cheeses and bread. The apartment was very comfortable and quiet. Highly recommend staying here.

The location is very good, close to the centre and to the beach. It was a bit noisy from the internal court because there are other apartments around but everything else was great!
