A fabulous location. Only a few minutes from the quay. Car park opposite charges £6 for 24hs if nowhere in the street. Well equipped cottage for a family. Lots of steps some fairly steep (top of stairs) and into basement so fine for most people to access. Our dog was welcome so we took a cage and they stayed in the kitchen overnight. Lovely roll top bath and additional shower room by the kitchen. The house was so warm.and comfortable throughout our stay.

Lots of steps some fairly steep (top of stairs) and into basement so fine for most people to access but be cautious if mobility is not good!. A pool table downstairs but the balls were missing.

"A beautiful relaxing stay. Will be back."

A traditional quaint cottage in a lovely village

The toaster was normal. Another review stated it was unpredictable.

"Passable"

Wonderful location with everything close by.

The stairs and ensuite are not for the faint hearted. The place was in need of decoration and a house manual would have been useful. The heating was off and we had to search for the instructions. Bathroom towel rail wasn’t working along with some lights.

"As above but very lovely location, first time in Norfolk but we will return."

5.0

self catering so no breakfast. Location was within a small courtyard of old cottages, however parking was impossible and we had to pay £19.50 in the pub car park opposite side of the lane in order to guarantee safe parking each day. There was a lock key holder on the wall which didnt work when I tried the pin code, I had to phone the owner/manager to find the key was located in a secret location and that they had never used the key pad. Nothing on the itineray to indicate the need to call, luckily I had the contact number.

The cottage is of the time, it is quaint but very tight upstairs. There were many things that needed attention, the main bedroom's bathroom was in poor condition, tiling and cleanliness was in need of work. The remote control for the TV only had 1 battery, only 1 bath towel each. The second bedroom with 2 single beds, our friends said the mattresses were a bit uncomfortable and again the towels were very thin, need replacement. The kitchen had a basic supply of crockery, no side plates only dinner size???? The toaster was very unpredicatable, but it was adequate. Our 3 night stay was ok but I don't think we would have enjoyed a week or more. Blakeney is a lovely place and we enjoyed being based there, but the cottage needs some love and attention, including the bedrooms need decorating. I hope the owner finds this helpful not just a criticism, as we think the potential is there to make it a great little stay. The staircase should carry a warning as it is very narrow & steep, unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. It is a very quiet spot, with a lovely garden area front and back, we would like to return once the above niggles have been sorted out.
