Charming well equipped cottage away from the tourist throng but centrally located to reach any of the hot spots in 15 - 20 minute. Several great restaurants with 3 minutes walk through gorgeous tree lined streets

No backup power option during "load shedding "

I loved the privacy and independence of a beautiful cottage in a perfect location for my needs. I loved the well appointed kitchen, the goodies provided, the beautiful personal touches in the decor and the private courtyard and fireplace in the lounge. The lockbox is a great idea, specially when traveling a fair distance as you are then completely self sufficient. I really enjoyed the peace of mind and ease of arming and disarming the alarm system. I loved that I could bring Casey, my Swiss Shepherd and could walk her so easily and all the pet friendly coffee shops and parks nearby.

A proper shower, not in the bath, would be better for older visitors I imagine. I had no problem with it. I would have loved a wood supply on my first night, more unused candles, loo paper and extra towels for an 8 night stay would have been appreciated. I imagine the windows not opening, from what I could work out anyway, is for security so being able to open the courtyard doors and front door with the security gate is adequate. These are not complaints, just observations!

There wasn't enough information, i.e. location of Washing machine and how it works, how to set the alarm, fireplace was blocked? - got smoked out and wasn't seen to

A clean renovated home with modern decor feel Well equipped kitchen. Good linen. Loads of clothing cupboard space. Outdoor patio area is lovely. Highly responsive and helpful agents Great location for walking into Newlands village, local restaurants and easy access to everywhere, especially Cavendish Square, Newlands stadium, Kirstenbosch and more.

The bathroom is tiny but clean and functional. Some pillows in both bedrooms need urgent replacing pls and also the mattress of the single bed against in the wall in the second bedroom is uncomfortable. This house needs an inverter or other power back up beyond the two lamps that are currently available to at least power the TV and more lights pls. The garage needs to be opened manually and can’t be locked when going out and the house alarm can’t be set when loadshedding happens.
