Riverview - Family river retreat a short walk from the quay

Beautiful location and the property was suited to the landscape by being an upside down house to provide lovely views. The property was comfortable and had everything we needed.

The balcony was small so only a couple of adults could sit out there at a time. The bathroom was tired and could use an update. The surrounding area is very steep so the walk to the key does take a lot longer than the time stated, not just down the road. Also if you have any challenges walking this would be difficult.

The location was beautiful with stunning views, peaceful and relaxing

Wonderful location with beautiful views of the estuary & valley. A short walk to the village/pubs & the quay. Facilities were very adequate, beds comfortable , towels soft & decor lovely. The small garden at the back would have been a bonus to sit in if the weather had allowed!

No electric razor plug in the bathroom (or for electric toothbrush). Bins in bedrooms would have been handy & a bedside light of some sort in the room with bunk beds would be helpful

Booked a 5 night getaway for our wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. Excellent location in the village which is reached along fairly narrow and in places steep road, some 2½ miles from main A road. Property is quiet and very peaceful, with distant view of the river. It is comfortable, warm, clean and tidy. VERY well equipped with everything you would need even down to the welcome milk and prosecco in the fridge. Clear instructions and directions to the property were sent beforehand.

On arrival the en-suite toilet had not been flushed and the flush mechanism was broken. As it was a Saturday a plumber could not be sent until mid afternoon Monday to affect a repair. This should have been dealt with prior to our arrival.
