single bed uncomfortable. double bedroom was very nice but couldn’t sleep due to thick duvet and heating controls had a mind of there own

Well equipped kitchen and comfortable bed. Cosy feel especially the kitchen. Main bedroom good size. Bathroom great.

It could have been cleaner. It was dusty. My husband has asthma and it was a problem. We tried to hoover ourselves and hoover didn’t work well. In particular dust under sofas and on surfaces. Also some of the kitchen equipment wasn’t clean especially glasses. Also the sofa was very stained. For the price, we would have expected it to be spotless. Also would have found some drawer storage helpful upstairs. There is only hanging storage.

I would 100% recommend staying at Honeysuckle Cottage. The village was lovely with two great pubs and the cottage was a delightful pet friendly place in the quaint village of East Meon. The village had history, plus walks that gave a fabulous view over the village and circular routes around the countryside. The cottage was tastefully decorated and well equipped, and all rooms were very adequate for our two night stay. The log burner was a great cottage warmer! I would happy stay in the cottage for a longer period of time. It had a great garden for the dog to sniff around in and it was entirely enclosed. Being opposite the beautiful church was great and the walk up the fairly steep hill from the churchyard was a must to see an overhead view of this quintessentially old English village . Inside the church is a fabulous Tournai Font, only one of & in the England! A must see.

For me, the only drawback - which would not stop me staying again - was the parking on the West Meon Road that goes to Petersfield. Although not super busy it did have fairly regular traffic ,some that was large, lorries busses and the likes, my car was fine, though if parking was made available just passed the cottage on The Cross where other cars parked it would be better, and there seemed to always be an available space. I would have felt happier.
