Bay View House

Suzanne was very friendly and a gracious host. She even drove halfway to meet us to deliver glasses we left behind. Gave us wonderful advice, she was delightful. The washer dryer worked great. Everything wonderful.

It was right by the sea, and we could walk to the village to eat. We had two great meals at Vaughn’s…and one cosy night in by the log burner

Nothing to dislike

Lovely house overlooking the bay and close to some good pubs with excellent food.

Nothing really - it suited us perfectly. Susanne is lovely and the house is great, she took in a shop delivery for us prior to our arrival, responded immediately to any issues or queries we had.

When arriving Susanne was very friendly and helpful. The cottage was lovely and warm and cosy. Susanne also kept in touch throughout to make sure everything was OK.

Everything from start to finish. Susanne is a beautiful host and offered us a late check out to facilitate a swim. Her home is warm, clean and steeped in history. We will most definitely return.

The location of this house is ideal for exploring the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands, which is why we chose to stay here. The host was excellent at communicating and made arrangements for us to be greeted by a family member who had the home toasty warm with a fire going which was nice given the rainy weather. We were shown around the home and a few things about the home were explained. The home is located directly on the main road but noise was not an issue. The back of the house looks out over the harbour and allowed for amazing sunrise views. The host provided tea and coffee and milk. There were also some basics such as salt, pepper, cooking oil, bottle of water, dish and laundry soap. All of which was greatly appreciated. The house was very clean and well equipped for our needs.

The beds are very comfortable and this old home is as cozy as you can get. The sitting room and garden out back with views of the sea are added little gems of pleasure and Suzanne’s welcoming personality makes the stay even more inviting. This home has all the little amenities you could need with an authentic stay and the short walk to the local pub or restaurant as well as nearness to cliffs of Moher and Aran Islands is hard to beat. Make yourself a cup of tea and enjoy the sunrise in the back garden for some beautiful views as well as playing seals and sea birds.

Like all historical homes some of the amenities are a bit older like the shower and the general location and age also means you might have a few bug visitors to deal with, but that’s normal for a home 100 years old plus. When the tide is low as well you will smell the seaweed which is a bit stinky if the windows are open, but it’s worth it for the views.
