Riad SHANAM, Riad privatisé avec piscine et Rooftop

The outside space and plunge pool were a godsend. All rooms were tastefully designed and kitchen well equipped.

Prachtige Riad op een centrale locatie.

Lovely Riad, great for a family or group of friends. The breakfast varied slightly on each of the 4 mornings. And they accommodated some requests. The host was lovely, super friendly and helpful. The Riad is well located with lots of small shops and restaurants nearby. The main square is a bit of a walk but not too far. Pretty easy to grab a taxi a few meters from your doorstep. We had a great time upstairs in the evening, with some wine, beer and snacks bought from Menara Mall (10 min by taxi) Would highly recommend.

Tuvimos un problema y la compañía retrasó nuestro vuelo; por lo que en vez de por la noche, llegamos por la mañana. Al llegar, Laurent nos estaba esperando en el alojamiento y nos explicó detenidamente, despues de ofrecernos el desayuno, distintas opciones que teníamos para visitar Marrakech; así como excursiones que podíamos contratar directamente con ellos. Pudimos realizar dos excursiones con ellos que estuvieron muy muy bien. Excursión al desierto de Agafay con ruta en quad fue la que mas nos gustó; y eso que el día no acompañó del todo. Rajah nos preparaba el desayuno cada día, a la hora que el día anterior conveniamos con ella. Incluso Laurent nos dejó, para uno de los viajeros que salía más tarde, dejar sus pertenencias y poder pasar a recogerlas cuando quisiera. Un alojamiento muy recomendado.

Beautiful Riad with cozy rooftop, partly covered with sunshades.  Very suitable for family trips. Raja provides breakfast and on request a delicious dinner. Possibility to eat both inside and on the roof terrace. Located in a lively area, small shops around the corner to buy water. Nice walk to the old center in 15 minutes and 20 minutes to Djemaa el-Fna and the souks. Laurent, the owner, is very responsive and helpful. Possibility to use the services of Jamal, the driver, which was very comfortable for a trip to Ourika valley and rides to various restaurants.

We liked everything about this accommodation. It was FANTASTIC. From the exquisite breakfast lovingly prepared at any time on request; the fantastic driver Jamal on hand for any ferrying about - particularly being there late at night for a medical emergency. Laurent was quick to respond to all messages and was patient about our changing requirements; the space is aesthetically stunning; the pool a refreshing oasis after the hustle and bustle of the medina; the beds were so comfy; the location was about half an hour walk from the square and the souks, yet tucked away in a more civilised part of town; the local people were friendly and helpful; the rooftop was a peaceful sanctuary and a social space to unwind; 11/10. Our group of 6 cannot wait to return.

The only thing we really needed was an extra towel. However we asked the host and we were provided straight away. It was then further explained that there is a water crisis in morrocco and there has been no rain for 3 years so they had to limit the washing.

As a local, I tried many riads but this was my favorite! Haitam and Raja were amazing hosts and made our stay delightful. The riad is simply beautiful, with an amazing pool and a rooftop with sunbeds. Rooms had comfortable bed and the location is very safe and quiet. Unlike other areas of Marrakech, you can get to the riad directly with car and it is easily accessible. You have shops and all the tourist attractions can be reached by walking. Highly suggested!

I liked everything

This is a great property right in the heart of Marrakesh. The rooms are all a good size and all air conditioned which was much needed when we went. We made good use of both the plunge pool and terrace, and the kitchen was great for storing snacks and drinks. We were a group of women out there for our 50ths and once we had worked out where we were, we felt safe walking around near the property. That said the Riad owner/guide were always on hand to take us anywhere we needed. One tip is that if you can't find anything in the kitchen, ask the housekeeper who comes in and does the breakfast - we were short of wine glasses, but it turned out there was more there in a hidden cupboard.

Nothing, all was perfect and at a very reasonable price.
