Casa dos Mosteiros 1740/AL

The view is spectacular. You are right above the ocean. The location within Mosteiros is great - within walking distance of natural pools and the beach. There was a washing machine and the kitchen was fairly equipped, even with a dish washer. The sofa was comfortable.

It was unbearably hot inside - ruined our time there. Without a breeze, the property was like an oven even at night when it was cooler outside. The place had only two small fans, one of which was rusty. One of the roller shutters was broken and slammed shut - meaning we couldn’t even open the window to the main bedroom, which made it even hotter. The bathroom had a stinky, sewer smell, which they tried to cover up with some fragrance that didn’t work. Overall, the furnishings were cheap.

Watching the sunset from the house by the sea. I felt a deep appreciation for the beauty and tranquillity that sorround me. All family always wanted to have dinner at home to make sure didn t miss the sunset

Great location, outstanding views of the ocean.

A bit damp due to it's proximity to the ocean. The twin beds are only suitable for children.

This is our 4th time staying in Mosteiros, and this was by far the most perfect property. you are right on the ocean, and fall asleep to the deep sound of the ocean waves. loved BBQing, loved being able to do laundry. steps from a convenience store. You are facing one of the most beautiful sunsets on the planet imho. steps from 2 sunset bars (in the off season they were open noon- 6:30+-- depends on how busy they are). this place gets plenty of light too, even on stormy days.

Parking was awkward. While there was an enclosed space on the property, it was impossible for us to get our small rental car into because of the narrowness of the street. One would need a smart car sized car to get into it without scrapping the walls of the streets. We parked on the street perpendicular to the house, up on the curb, but the garbage truck wasn't too happy with our location. Other than that one encounter with the garbage truck we were fine. You have to keep the dehumidifier running pretty continuously. It's pretty self-explanatory to use. Also, the stove top is a conduction stove, so don't bother with the non-stick frying pans that are supplied as they don't work. Use the steel-only pans. the wind can get strong so you may need to wedge something into the sliding door "blinds" to prevent clicking sounds.

The views were spectacular! The sound of the ocean was peaceful. It did get pretty windy at night hitting the house but it's that time of year. Very nice welcome basket.

Beds were a bit firm but ok That's how it is in Europe. I placed my water bottle on our step to walk up the street for a minute and it was gone when we got back. No fault of this place.
