This house is very well situated and convenient to everything.

Might just benefit with a few wee cosmetic fittings. Nothing much but a wee bit of paint here and there.

The location

The blinds were broken, the paint was flaking, we ran out of electricity.

We arrived early with a view to spending the day in Newcastle. The previous guests complained about a smoke detector needing a battery and that the place wasn't as clean as expected. A swift email to the owner, and all was put right before check in at 4pm. Beds were especially comfortable and the linens were all of very high quality. We will definitely stay again.

The cleaning company had clearly let down the owner and not done a good job. This was swiftly rectified.

The location is within walking distance of everything in the town. That is the only positive of this property.

The property was not clean. There was a fusty smell throughout the property that smelled like an old attic. We had to brush the floor ourselves on arrival, which amounted to a pile of dirt, including a finger or toe nail. We had to clear cobwebs from the ceiling in multiple rooms. The fact that we had to pay a £55 cleaning fee to bring our dog was insulting considering the property obviously had not been cleaned properly, if at all. The smoke alarm made a recurring beeping noise throughout the entire stay. The living room door handle isn’t secure and fell off multiple times. The sofas and chairs had crumbs all over, which appears to be from crisps. The kitchen floor has purple and brown stains all over. The toilet seat in the bathroom is a death trap, barely secured at all. There were dead bugs lying on the window sills in multiple rooms, in addition to live insects from the garden in the kitchen. The back garden is more like an alley way; it does not look like it has ever been brushed, with cigarette butts littered all over. I would not recommend this property to anyone and would not stay in it again if it were free of charge.

The location is excellent, couldn’t be closer to the Main Street and the beach. Comfortable and clean beds.

Needs a good deep clean. Sheets, beds and laundry was very clean but the rest of the house, floors, skirting board, rads etc. need a deep clean.
