"Lovely stay overall but small improvements such as sorting out the water supply and providing a few more basics could ma"

Lovely quaint cottage in a beautiful location.

The water pressure was incredibly weak making it difficult to shower and it was very understocked with basic provisions such as salt, oil, any tea bags or milk on arrival.

"Could be brilliant but definitely not for everyone"

6.0

The fire was nice, plenty of wood. Tv worked, the look is nice and good access to points of interest

The level of cleanliness, even for a property like this, wasn’t up to standard. There were some cobwebs in understandable places obviously, but on the clothes maiden and easy to reach lights, also on plug switches. I expect there to be spiders but there were a lot. The hot tub is not private at all, multiple neighbours over looking, a small section of panelling could fix this. There is no light outside directed at the hot tub, the only light outside didn’t really cover that part of the garden. If you are of a sensitive nature then I wouldn’t recommend as, even though it was a lovely cottage, there was a very odd vibe to the whole place and we weren’t comfortable at all and had to cut our stay short unfortunately. For what you are paying it could be really good value, especially as dogs can go for free although we didn’t benefit from this, but a few extra touches are needed.

"We had an excellent stay and would def visit again"

9.0

The property was a beautiful old cottage with a lovely fireplace and loved the bedrooms. The only think letting it down was the very uncomfortable ladder you had to climb to get to the upstairs room. Also not ideal for children

As mentioned above

"Beautiful, cosy and relaxing"

8.0

The living area was so cosy and relaxing with the exposed stone and huge open fireplace. One of the highlights of the trip was being able to relax in there. The cottage as a whole was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. Loved that it was surrounded by trees and thatched cottages. Wish I could've stayed longer and I hope we can go back soon!

We were told fire wood would be provided but there wasn't any so we bought some ourselves (which I didn't mind but would've been good to know in advance). In some places it felt like it could have been cleaner (e.g. there were dead woodlouse on the chair in the bedroom) but I completely understand that it's hard to keep an old property spotless so it didn't bother me but might bother some people. The ladder to the mezanine looked very unstable so I'm glad we didn't have to use it! Would've been nice to have some basics provided (e.g. salt and pepper, tea/coffee) but for the price I can't complain!
