CASA AL MIGLIO

Hosts Mariele, Luca and farm dog Bunna were warm, fastidious and clearly love creating a beautiful place for others to enjoy. Their care is shown in the smallest details, like placing dried & fresh flowers in the rooms, greeting us with a locally produced bottle of wine and recommending herbs for a sore throat. A variety of farm animals onsite and across the road provide a fun backdrop; and I also spotted a wild deer. We became ill during our stay, and Casa al Miglio had all the comforts of home for us to spread out in cozy beds, drink tea, take hot showers, rest and recover. Great fit for travelers who enjoy a peaceful place away from town to unwind between adventures! Location is perfect - great home base for trips to Florence and other northern Italy sites Bologna, Pisa, Modena, Borgo San Lorenzo, Parma and Maranello. This was the first overseas trip for two in our party, and they've now caught the "travel bug", thanks in part to enjoying Casa al Miglio, a safe, comfortable home away from home. :)

Entering the property gate from the northbound side of the road takes some care & courage, but you quickly get the hang of it after a few tries. When in doubt, drive past the property, turn around and try again.

Wyjątkowe miejsce, polecam do spokojnego wypoczynku na łonie otaczającej natury. Bardzo dobra baza wypadowa do Florencji i na odpoczynek po zwiedzainiu zatłoczonego miasta. Miejsce jak oaza spokoju, klimatyczne. Wrócimy tam na pewno.

Mariele and Luca were very welcoming and helpful. They both spoke English and could answer all our questions and give us tips on sights to see and routes to take. The apartment was very spacious and beautifully furnished. I loved all the little touches of fresh and dried flower arrangements. The beds were comfortable and the towels were fresh smelling, having been line dried. The kitchen was well equipped with all utensils and she even gave us basic condiments such as olive oil, coffee, tea, sugar and much more. A welcoming bowl of fruit and bottle of wine were on the table. Casa al Miglio is about a 20 minute drive from the parking garage on the edge of Florence where you pay €2 per hour. You can also drive five minutes to a bus stop, park for free and take a bus into the city for €1.70.

The only small annoyance was some road noise as the road North and south goes right beside the property.

Simply Wow! The house is equipped with care and love; everything from the towels to the kitchen to the bedding is perfect. Located just 25-30 minutes away from Florence, it served us as a good base for our exploration of Tuscany, as well as a very relaxing home away from home. The hosts are a wonderful couple, caring and knowledgeable, who guided us and provided all possible help. A pity that we could not stay longer.

This was the most amazing place I have ever stayed. Mariele and Luca are unbelievable hosts who attend to every detail to ensure that you feel entirely at home. If I can I will visit repeatedly!!!! Casa Al Miglio exceeded all expectations.

Lovely house in the nature. Florence is easily accessible by car from there. The place was very spacious, very well equipped with anything you might need. The hosts were very kind!

The only thing that we were missing was an espresso coffee machine. But there were moka pots and coffee maker instead, so not a big problem.

It was great!
