Pattys Barn Holiday Cottages, Cabins and Venue Hire

We had a fabulous stay over the new year. A group of 4 families with kids between 10 and 14 years old, we had two cottages (Wild Woodpecker and Cobbled Curlew) with everything we needed really for our self catering stay. Warm and cozy in all areas, great atmosphere, loads of things to do. Gaming room and little gym area were great for the rainy moments, the out barn although during a refurbishment process, we were able to use the barbecue which was fantastic. We also hired the wood fired hot tub, with the pre booking system, everything was ready for us only to enjoy the relaxing moments. The owner Michele was very kind and helpful, she recommended nice walks from the cottage, also good ideas for hiking routes in The Lakes, just one hour drive up on the M6. We will be back for sure, maybe trying on a warmer season to enjoy the sea side which is within a mile walk from the cottages.

The location is great, near Lancaster. The hosts were brilliant, the cottages were comfy and the facilities were good too.

One of the showers had heat issues, but there are multiple showers.

Children loved the games room. Holiday home was well decorated, well equipped, clean and comfortable

A bit out of the way. Have to drive to local shops / restaurants. Longer drives 40 mins plus to larger towns

Just retuned from a 3 night stay at the Lucky Duck. Absolutely stunning house with beautiful decor in the middle of the countryside.. what more could you ask for 😍 My 3 year old nephew had so much playing with the go karts, diggers and sandpit - we couldn’t keep him away! Michelle was very helpful and friendly and suggested a few things nearby that we might’ve been interested in doing!

We had an excellent time. The kids were safe to go to games room and play outside whilst the grown ups sat with a brew on the bench. Beautiful views from every angle. We had a bbq and a fire Pitt and used the hot tub and plunge pool. The house was lovely and clean and supplied with everything we needed even the body wash was lovely.

Quiet rural location. The owner was friendly.

Tiny windows and poor artificial lighting made the space gloomy. The TV was not very good On some evenings it got very warm and we were unable to open the window on the bedroom side because people were sat around a fire outside which meant we could not get a draught through the room. The bedding provided was for winter. The steep approach ramp can obscure a driver’s view of children playing which makes it dangerous.

Great location, very friendly atmosphere, very safe. Beds comfortable and clean , the cleanliness and quality of the buildings were excellent. The property’s layout was very well designed and maintained throughout. The online brochure describes the property and grounds 100% , honestly faultless and well worth a visit.

For me and my 2 children this was perfect and I liked every aspect of our property and could not find fault or anything to dislike.

The property/ apartment was perfect for what I needed just as described, in a great area and the hosts were great. I will be back later on in the year for work and will be staying again.
