Peaceful Talkeetna Getaway #1

Owner was very available and helpful when contacted. Cute little cabin in the woods. Had everything we needed.

Had a problem with the gas grill but she had us use a different one nearby.

House was clean, well supplied and Comfortable.

Location

I was not able to get in. I repeatedly called the property manager and was able to get her to get a access code to get in the door to the property. She responded the next morning, that service was very unacceptable. We finally after hours called someone in Hong Kong with Booking.com and she was able to give us access to the property. We received no check in access code ahead of time . This is totally unacceptable. I'm not sure where the screw up was , but we were not happy not being able to check in.

Cute little cabin, quiet and remote.

Grill is a bit dirty, outdoor facilities are not very clean

Great location for viewing Denali - just a short drive to Talkeetna. Loved the wooded location. We saw a bear while having breakfast on the deck!

Not enough saucepans for cooking meals (for vegetables etc) Dining stools too high for table so couldn’t get legs under the table Outside chairs strewn around the grounds upside down, which all looked a bit messy and scruffy

We loved it but my husband became ill and we had to leave early on Sunday to go to emergency in Anchorage. I apologize that I didn’t get to clean up as I normally woyld have.

The deck and table outside and grill were a mess. The cleaning girl had to return and finish the job.
