Maya residence

Location was perfect for my needs as I had family funerals to go to in the same town. The beds were super comfy and I slept well. I was able to extend my stay by one night to attend another family funeral.

Think you need to get a new cleaning team!!! Under the beds not vacuumed, towels and sheets from previous guests still left in the dryer, and full of lint. Drains in showers clogged, no tea towels, no bin bags. Owners food still left in cupboards, dishwasher only washed with cold water so had to do it by hand. Dishes, cutlery sticky to touch and stained. Said there was a welcome pack.. I didn't find anything??? I mean this constructively as I myself am a host.

Garden should put a bit more attention, all plants are died.

Location, and car parking

No coffee machine! Electrical socket next to bed had front taken off and a price of A4 paper covering it with a bit off tape that hadn’t stuck to wall. This is very dangerous and a serious health and safety issue! Both tumble driers filled up with damp washing and made bedroom smell damp! Outdoor space was extremely slippery and no warning. Again another health and safety issue. We were given the wrong code for key box and emergency number wasn’t answered at first, fortunately we kept trying and managed to get through to get correct number.

Bedding smelt foisty, poor communication from owner leaving us waiting outside hours for a code for the key, decking needs cleaning (slip hazard), lats on bed broken and attempted to fasten together with cello tape, laminated flooring missing in areas and general maintenance of the property was bad.

The glass conservatory

When arriving the first thing we saw was the trash at the front door sticking out. But when opening the front door a big penetrating smell of wet dog came to meet us. It was so bad we opened on all floors all windows and doors trying to rid of it. Over two hours we tried and still it wasn’t gone. It seem to came of the duvets. Also everything in the house you touched sticks. When opening the dishwasher it smelled terrible and food of previous guests was still there. And after a promise of the owner things would be getting cleared a single toiletrol was changed downstairs and nothing else at all. And to ask your guests to leave the place as you arrived? No way. We hope the guests after us had a better stay after us cleaning and we have tried to make the air in the house more pleasant. So a big NO for us ever again.

This was a lovely property. Very clean with everything you needed. Would highly recommended this property
