Great location and wonderful host, they were very helpful with everything!

some smoke escaped from the fireplace into the house, but that's being fixed.

The owner was super helpful before, during and after our stay! Helped us booking an excursion to the Sani Pass. Cosy place with a lot of attention to all small extras that made our stay adorable: port wine, candles, bath salt, beauty products, popcorn, electric blankets,… Even though breakfast was not included, the surprised us with eggs, milk, muesli and freshly baked home made bread! Super for a low price! Nice garden with a lot of birds. Pitty we could not stay longer.

We had some problems getting the wood fire working properly, but the owner helped us out. Says more about our own skills…

I liked everything about the cottage, there's everything you need to prepare your own meal, the host is very nice, she welcomed us, showed us everything in the cottage, she share all the activities information and where to visit, she gave us a home made bread and home made rusks, enough things for tea/coffee, lovely 2 friendly dogs in the yard, i like the big one as i got a chance to play with her. Listen, i fully recommended Glen Islay Cottage..10/10. You know that feeling when you feel it inside that you are welcome at someone's house? You do feel it there.

great location, with enough space between the holiday home and the owner’s home. the bread and cookies prepared by gladness were amazing too and both her and the owner were extremely kind. activities booking is easily arranged and home is super well equipped

just one small consideration even though we didn’t have to use extra wood, in the middle of winter, don’t make people pay for the extra wood to keep on the stove as the only heating source in the house and channel TV would be great

Just everything about the place, nature and environment. It offers a peace of mind and tranquility more especially if coming from the bustling cities. The Drakensberg mountain is nothing but icing on a cake. Scenery is truly majestic and wonder to live for . The owners on top of it all were exceptionally friendly and accessible for interventions, stretching themselves to the extra limits just to make sure that guest are taken care of and happy. I will never hesitate to recommend to any person to come and have the taste of the best time I had experienced on my vacation stay.

To be honest , I didn't came across anything negative which could have made me to have any dislikes about my entire stay.

Very big (two floor) comfortable cottage with perfect owner. Easy for find and entrance - have big safety area inside for parking. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. Have backup plan for loadshedding - all day you will have lamps and hot water, is cool, bcz mostly rooms like this no have backup. Owner very friendly and helpful, interested about her guests. Have daily room service. Room's lady help for make heather in room when have a cold nights. She very kind and helpful. Inside cottage have everything what standard tourist need. Have even fresh bread, butter and farm eggs, whiskey for guests. Area around cottage big and look very beauty. Owner take care very good. City Himeville is clean and look safety, feel like you somewhere in US or Europe. Have 2 lovely dogs in area.

Host was unbelievable. We were booked in for sani non stop. She heated our dinner. Neat. Clean. We will defenitely book it again.

What a spectacular place!! So comfortable, clean and cozy. Fully equipped unit with the host adding all the little unexpected extra's like fresh baked bread, chocolates and water on night stand, fresh eggs, pre-packed fire waiting to be lit - the list goes on! Beautiful setting and close to town too. Just loved it!

So loved everything about this gem! From the time the booking was made we had communication from the owner about arrival, what we’d need, directions, safest route and that we’d be able to arrive earlier than we’d expected. The cottage is home away from home. Little treats were left for us, and we were made to feel completely at home. We absolutely loved the coziness of the cottage. My daughter loved the loft bedroom and the staff were so friendly and helpful! Amazing stay at an amazing place 😊
