Everything you needed and more

WiFi was very bad

Jonathan and Mary were lovely hosts and very attentive. We loved watching the farm cats and two golden Labradors. The Hopbarn was very quiet and peaceful. Tea coffee and sugar availability was a nice touch. Kitchen cleaning equipment, rubber gloves, scourers, washing up equipment etc all new and plentiful. Beds were really comfy and a real bonus for each bedroom to have its own bathroom. All spotlessly clean. The re-wilded nature walk around the farmland was really nice to do (wellies needed!)

All good really but maybe mention here that although there were 6 place settings for everything, which was sufficient, self-catering for 6 adults would have been a challenge if we had not taken a lot of our own dining equipment. Suggest maybe 2 lots of table settings and glasses, cups etc needed for a weekend stay of 6 people, otherwise constant washing up! We brought our own board games and CD player; these would be a nice addition in the HopBarn. Also some cling film or foil would have been helpful. That said, we had a lovely time.

Excellent hosts, location is walkable into Southwell. Barn has everything you need.

We loved the design of the building and how it was laid out. Being on a working farm, we were interested to see the tractors and other vehicles going past, to say nothing of our attempts to count the number of farm cats just outside our window! From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the resident humans and dogs. It was all very peaceful and lovely.

Three of us stayed here while attending a nearby workshop. We found it a lovely modern property, clean and welcoming which suited us very well as the bedrooms were all spacious with their own bathroom facilities and the open plan ground floor was comfortable and well appointed.

It was absolutely gorgeous and we loved it ! The only thing and this is a very small thing it would have been great to have had a small welcome pack with coffee tea and biscuits as we forgot to pack some but it was fantastic!
