Converted Barn House - Central Oxford, Cotswolds

Good location for Oxford. Pretty garden / seating area. Clean, plenty of facilities for cooking etc. Comfy bed for me, although not standard double which is a shame as plenty room for a decent sized bed.

The "double" bed felt like a 3/4 size, very small so for my husband who is over 6 foot he couldn't fit in it which meant he had to sleep on sofa 😪. The bathroom is a wet room,looks cool but less functional. Stairs not compliant, very steep. Says sleeps 4, but 4 small people at a push. Church bells go on the hour every hour and through the night, the cottage is right next to church so beware if light sleeper.

Some of the pots and pans were in need of a good clean as was the store cupboard which was full of cobwebs.

Beautiful location and stunning presentation. House was clean, beautifully appointed, moderately comfortable. Very good kitchen. Issues that occurred were promptly responded to and fixed.

Property was listed as having a luxurious king size bed, but only had a smallish double. Áttic renovations always have issues, and I felt a bit of a hunchback when I was upstairs, avoiding headstrike.on the sharply sloping ceilings. Bathroom was visually interesting, but lack of any shower screening (with shape of ceiling I doubt if one would have been possible) meant the whole bathroom was wet after a shower.

Beautiful rural setting in a quiet village. The Barn had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It was also a pleasure to greeted by the beautiful dog on our arrival. Felt like home.

Provision of some tea bags/ bread and fresh milk given no shop in the village would be good also an actual washing up bowl but these are minor points. Overall lovely.

Location was superb, the property was very cleverly and tastefully set out. There has been a lot of thought given to how best to optimise the space. Lovely touches like fresh eggs and a well-equipped kitchen added to the comfort, and the lovely welcoming message from Roo set the tone. An incredibly relaxing little hideaway, perfect for a decompressing break.
