Little Fisher Farm - Farm-View Retreat

Andy met us and welcomed us on arrival. The house is spacious, extremely clean and well equipped with everything you need. The grounds are peaceful and it was an absolute joy to stay there.

Nothing.

Although Little Fisher Farm is quite rural, there are lots of places to visit nearby. We were travelling with small children and they really enjoyed the gardens outside the house where there were swings, a trampoline and a football net. We could sit outside on the patio with a coffee and watch them play, it was perfect for them to get rid of some energy before bedtime! Our hosts kindly left a starter pack of breakfast goodies, bread and milk too, which was extremely helpful and a nice touch. We felt very at home and would not hesitate to return.

There was nothing that we didn’t like.

Lovely stay . Close to all local tourist sites . Kids love the garden.

Pretty, quiet rural location with large lawn, swings, zip wire, trampoline and football kicking area. Living dining area was great, with a huge TV screen. Large spa bath on ground floor.

Some of us bumped our heads on sloping roof in bedrooms.

It was clean and comfortable and well equipped.

We had little or no contact with the owner. We couldn’t find any guest folder with information. We didn’t realise that we would have to pay extra for the hot tub and couldn’t get the jacuzzi bath to work.

A lovely “full to the brim” hamper was left for our breakfast. This was more than enough for the three of us during our stay. Being just off the beaten track made the location very peaceful and serene. Excellent for peace and quiet. EV point available. Huge bonus. Hosts very friendly and helpful.

No complaints just would have liked to spend a few more days there, sadly our schedule did allow. For that reason we didn’t get a chance to use hot tub.🙁

The host was lovely, very accommodating and responded to questions and requests very quickly. Clear directions were given on how to get to the property and good recommendations for things to do in the area. We went to the beach that was a short drive away and was very clean. We also went to the local theatre and saw a great performance of 'The sound of music'. Lovely stretch of land to run around in. Also lots of activities in the property for kids to do like read books, Legos, board games etc. Large sofa bed sleeps at least two people very comfortably. The property was very clean with a great kitchen that allowed us to make our meals with ease. I don't think there were any Afro/Caribbean restaurants in the area, but we did enjoy a great Chinese and Thai meal. We forgot there was a dishwasher until the last day so don't forget to take advantage of that! I would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a staycation outside of a busy city. The weather wasn't great but that is no fault to the host. Beware of the slanted ceilings in the bedrooms! I definitely knocked my head a couple of times! (I'm 5'3" for reference!) I would also recommend that you arrive or leave during the day to avoid driving on the dark country roads.

The welcome box of food, etc. The quiet location, yet proximity of many nice places to visit. Availability and helfulness of host. Availability of EV charger.

Low angled ceilings upstairs. Mosquitoes!
