Greenwood Grange

A peaceful spot within gardens and way from any noisy road. All basics included in the cottage e.g. washing up liquid, drying up cloth, etc provided which are not always provided as self catering places. A welcome pack including milk in the fridge, tea bags and biscuits provided, Eggs were available to purchase from their chickens. The hot tub was great, and checked twice a day, which we appreciated. We had mixed weather during our stay but that did not stop me using hot tub There was laundry facilities provided including laundry liquid Other facilities including tennis court and a games room but we did not use them. The staff were very friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Overall, a pleasing and relaxing stay. A perfect location for multi generation family stay which we might do in the future.

Personally I do not like dog friendly venues. Always afraid that we might have a noisy dog as a neighbour. And as someone who reacts badly to flea bites also worried that any dog may leave fleas to terrorise me. Fortunately we did not expereince this.

Perfect location for walks in Thorncombe woods, local villages and along the riverside. Visited Dorchester, Maiden Castle Hill Fort and Athelhampton gardens. Accommodation is immaculate, generously equipped and spacious. We enjoyed the used of the shared hot tub and had fun in the games room. We would highly recommend the nearby Thimble Inn.

The whole cottage complex was efficiently and tastefully organized, and also highly self-explanatory. Hardy Cottage was close by in an easy walking distance. The cottage and the surrounding area are well preserved. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful Dorset countryside.

Could'nt find anything.

Brilliant location near Thomas Hardy's cottage. Comfortable, quiet accommodation in a pleasant setting with woodland walks. Close to Dorchester and the coast. Convenient for visiting T E Lawrence's home and Bovington museum. Accommodation has everything needed with a free laundry room. For anyone with children, the large garden a short distance from the cottages is ideal and fitted out with play equipment and a Wendy house.

Everything was top notch, the friendly helpful staff, beds & bedding so comfortable, hot power shower, gardens beautiful, nature walks right on the doorstep, fresh eggs to buy & peaceful getaway from busy life.

I always worry when keys are left in the door that someone could go in and damage something before you arrive however it was a very secure beautiful place to stay!
