Rushing Stone Cottage

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage and mountain are absolutely beautiful. The weather couldn't have been better. It was a great experience!

It was incredibly unique and the view is gorgeous.

The location was great, secluded and remote yet close enough to get supplies of essentials and groceries. The kitchen was well supplied with utensils, pots, and pans.

There was a draft on the second floor and fireplace produced lot of smoke.

The cottage itself was very cute, VERY clean, and the location was good. Host detailed the arrival instructions, leaving instructions, and location very well. This was much appreciated since there is very little outdoor lighting on that street. We selected this rental because it was the same price for two hotel rooms. With some changes, this would be a very comfortable stay.

It was impossible to heat up the home. The upstairs was absolutely freezing and using heaters did not work. Our entire party was confined to the single downstairs bedroom and it was still freezing, changing the thermostat did next to nothing. During the night we heard animals (squirrels, raccoons, or similar) scampering so closely it sounded like they were upstairs. The biggest concern was the empty fire extinguisher in the kitchen. There was no pin and the gauge was on E. The one upstairs was fine.
