Cuckoo Barn at Penygaer farm near the Brecon Beacons

Beautiful location, clean house, beautiful interior. Lovely drive to and from the cottage. Ideal location to go into Brecon beacons or travel south to Gower peninsula.

So quiet yet easy to get to. Beautifully spacious and comfortable. We instantly fell in love with the whole experience. Very easy to get up and go exploring Cardigan Bay and Pembrokeshire. Jon gave detailed instructions before and was helpful during our stay. He just made the whole thing so easy. Would definitely stay again

We got so used to keeping the heating down at home that it was a little warm at times but that's just personal (and financial) preference. Although it's a bit corny we were very sad to leave

Peaceful location. Great walks with stunning views. John was a very friendly host, great availability and communication.

Driving up the lane to Cuckoo Barn was beautiful, a real wow as you came over the crest of the hill, the sun set it off perfectly and then on entering the property it was just as much of a wow too. The barn was renovated and kept to a very high standard and with lots of tasteful character and all the facilities you need including excellent wifi, its difficult not to sound OTT but we loved it. The location was stunning and worth the extra few minutes coming out of town, if you want to treat yourself then this is it. One afternoon Jon called in to check everything was OK and was very charming, all the information/communication regarding the stay was excellent, highly recommend.

Host was extremely efficient with all the details of the stay. From the directions, walks around the area, amenities in the town, experiences at the various restaurants etc. Very informative which made the stay so pleasant.

fantastic property, comfortable and in a very pitoresc area!!! We absolutly loved beeing there and ever wanting to return to the area that will be the place to book again and again. Having a coffee early morning, in a comfortable chair, in front of the big windows, watching the hills and the very calm sheep… what would you want more for a relaxing stay? clean, spacious, really good sleep, well equipped kitchen… writing is makes me want to go back there tomorrow! Thank you to the lovely owners for sharing such an amasing place!
