Ypatia Cozy Castle Suite Apartment with Loft

The location is unbelievable. The kastro is an experience to live in. I absolutely loved it. The decor is beautiful. It’s incredible to wake up to the most incredible sunrise and see the castle at its best.

Be aware of booking on a Sat night as the music from the bar across goes till 3am! The steps to get to the room are very steep so you need to be cautious. The shower has a privacy door but it’s just to the side of the room in full view of the unit. It’s very tight. The breakfast is pre packed goods.

The location was nice and close to the gate and restaurants. The space was light and breezy. The kitchen had a coffee machine and coffee which was a lovely plus. We arrived slightly earlier than planned and the hosts were understanding and more than willing to accommodate us.

The bed is extra firm which was good for us but depends on preference.

Monemvasia is a very special place, and having accommodation close to the city gate is a real bonus. The facility manager really tried his very best to help with the issues encountered, but the owner will need to understand that sometimes “you need to spend money to make money!”

Nothing, the place was great

Initially we were a little surprised at how tight the apartment was - would not recommend it for 4 adults. However, after asking the host whether a second apartment was available (it was not as there is no other apartment available from the host), he graciously offered us another night to stay! We were thankful for such a kind and generous offer, unfortunately we could not avail to it. The apartment itself was very clean and had all the bits and pieces to really feel like you're at home, the beds were very comfortable, and even though it is right on the main road through Monemvasia, it was still very quiet and calm. The restaurant across from the apartment, Oinomelo also owned by the host, had some of the most delicious food too! Would definitely go back to stay there (but just as a couple).
