Acheron Cottages

Great views of the surrounding mountains, and lovely sense of space arising from location on farmland. Property spacious, convenient and well-equipped; very comfortable beds. Although we didn't need it, wheelchair accessibility was a notable feature. Owner gave a generous rebate for no TV service (see comments below).

It wasn't the owner's fault, but there was no TV reception during our stay as the service provider was changing satellites; the owner warned us this was a possibility so we took DVDs, but... there was no DVD player. So there were a couple of long evenings' reading...

Everything was perfect. Clean, efficient modern and convenient.

A lovely chalet, very clean and comfortable. Views were beautiful. Highly recommended. I had a recliner chair so in my element.

Nice little cottage with everything one might need. We especially enjoyed the location close to Doubtful Sound cruise departure and within driving distance from Milford Sound. Baby alpacas at the neighboring farm are adorable.

What a fun location - close enough to ‘town’ to walk as in, to the only Pub and Shop (and amazing book store!), but far enough to be dark and quiet. Wow the stargazing opportunities! Jo offered us fresh eggs and apples from her farm and gave other useful advice. Beds clean and comfortable. We appreciated the laundry as we really needed it. Enjoyed some drinks on the porch at sunset, and coffee / breakfast. Cute ponies out the back!
