Kultainen Kaava Cottages

It was amazing. It exceeded our expectations. The house contains 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a huge kitchen and a super huge living room. Due to a not so lucky weather, we came rather wet. But there is a drying machine in the size of a huge fridge, which dried all our clothes and shoes. This was life-saving. And the sauna! What a treat! Huge and comfortable. And of course, the location is close to the port in Padasjoki and close to the lookout tower. If you want to get some blueberries, you just step outside the house, and you get some from the surrounding forrest. The host was very kind to provide easy access (check-in) and departure. He provided all the needed info, and it could not have been better prepared. Thank you a thousand times!!!

There is no bidet shower as it is very common in all parts of Finland. This was rather disappointing.

Beautiful, quiet nature setting, reachable by public transport. Spacious and clean cottage with everything you need. Kind and helpfull staff. I recommend.

Two of the beds were couches which were not the most comfortable. I recommend to come here in groups up to 4.

The cottage is great, new, spacious and comfortable Fits the environment perfectly (obviously designed by skilled architect) Perfectly placed in the woods, surrounded by trees Great terrace Sauna inside Three bathrooms (one for every bedroom) Privacy and solitude, albeit in walking distance to the village

High fee for cleaning or the obligation to clean the cottage (I dond doubt the necessity to leave the cottage clean, however the obligation to clean toilets, sink, to vacuum clean etc. seems a bit too much) Bed blankets for extra fee (and really high)

I liked that the house is so warm especially the floor and so clean. The house is spacious and well equipped with the big fridge and freezer. I liked the pictures of a bear and a wolf in the livingroom. Terrace has forest and lake view! In the morning when the sun rises, it was so beutiful. It is a peaceful house but at the same time near neighbors and people. I loved that the supermarkets were nearby by car.

It would have been good if there was a bidet shower in the toilet.

The location was great and the cottage had good facilities. The trails around the cottage were good and family friendly

During days the blinds did not block all the lights which could be irritating sometimes

Very spacious and cozy house. Perfectly located just meters from the lake and from the viewing tower. The host was one of the most welcoming persons. The surrounding is very peaceful and charming. Enjoy the day in the nature and then relax in the sauna during the evening.

It would be nice is there were sledges for the kids to have fun in the snow.
