Ard Darach Cottage - very central

Location was excellent for lots of forest walks & walking trails and felt rural, while being within just a few minutes walk from the main street for the shops, restaurants & pubs. The kitchen was well equipped and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had a large shower cubicle separate to the bath and the hot water was super hot.

The heating downstairs is electric storage heaters. I'm sure these are great in winter and you don't expect to need heating on in June, so we never had them on, but it did get a bit cool a couple of nights. The small electric stove style heater provided wasn't quite enough for the room size.

The cottage was very warm and cosy, we felt quite at home. The kitchen is equipped enough to cook meals, and there’s a freezer and a dishwasher. Well located for easy access to the village. The bedrooms are quite big, bright and comfortable. The bathroom is located downstairs, but we managed fine although my husband is disabled. The host was helpful and friendly. We would return for another stay.

No upstairs bathroom or toilet, but we managed fine.

Our Property was very comfortable and roomy. Nice big kitchen with everything we needed. Comfy beds. Lovely garden to wander or relax in. Short walk to the town.

We loved the cottage it is a decent size and has comfortable beds and a proper kitchen. Two minute walk into the town. Allowed to store our precious bikes in the kitchen. Anne and Chris answered any of questions immediately and always helpful.

Our hosts were extremely helpful and shared advice/suggestions during our stay as well as before we arrived. Comfortable accommodation, beautiful location and availability to sit in garden was a bonus.
