The Haven Cottage

Property has everything you needed and had a lot of character. Clean and warm. Would be excellent for a family with young children. Beds very comfortable. Owner checked in on us to make sure we were ok.

Nothing really. I went with my parents whom have mobility issues and they could have done with a hand rail to get up the front door step and the furniture was a little low for them. But they still lived the property.

Well equipped. Friendly owners. Good location for Falkirk Wheel and The Kelpies

It was too vast for just 2 of us. The bed was a bit saggy and difficult to get out of. T5

Super friendly welcome and so much space! Especially as I was staying on my own it really is a whole cottage. Two separate bedrooms, a living room, bathroom and also a kitchen with a dining table, not your usual all in one cottage set up. Off road parking available for one car, this made it handy for getting things in and out for my dogs. Nice and warm especially as we had some cold weather during my stay.

Garden a little small and no grass which for dogs was a little tricky but there is a big park next door (just need to walk out onto the road and into the park about 50m) Also the mattress in the main bedroom is super soft, not my preference although others may like that. Water pressure in the shower not good.

Staff were very helpful in the build up to our stay.

Uncomfortable bed, and incredibly loud from the early hours of the morning with noise from the attached house including shouting, dogs barking, and running upstairs.

Lovely fire. Plenty of fuel. Clean and well equipped

Lovely property, located in a small village near to Falkirk. There was everything you could possibly need provided to use. Host came to see us after we had checked in, lovely lady ❤️

Great stay. Lovely touches of Christmas tree with lights and wreath :-(

Recht geräumig, hatte einen Flair durch das, dass es ein altes Gebäude mit richtigen Holzdielen und alten Türen ist. Nett war, dass in einem Zimmer super viele Kinderbücher und Spielsachen vorhanden waren. Die Ankuft war auch nett, da in jedem Raum rießige Blumensträuße standen! Toll ist die Gelegenheit zu waschen und zu trocknen! Großer neuer Kühlschrank. Schönes Babyreisebett wurde zur Verfügung gestellt. Direkt nebenan ist ein toller Spielplatz was für uns super war, da wir mit Kindern verreist sind.

Leider mussten wir jeden Tag den (Roll-)Lattenrost wieder darauflegen, da er immer wieder runtergerutscht ist (auch wenn man sich nicht bewegt hat in dem Moment). Der Boden war leider echt dreckig, die Socken immer braun wenn man keine Hausschuhe anhatte. Mit Kindern also eher ungeeignet. Auch die Ausstattung der Küche ließ zu wünschen übrig. Nur zwei kleine Löffel und nur Pfannen zum Beispiel. Und die Herdplatten brauchen ewig zum warmwerden, kochen dauert also! Wifi leider in einigen Räumen sehr schwach oder gar nicht vorhanden. Schränke (und danach auch die Klamotten) rochen modrig.
