The Byre at Heartwood

Everything. Not a single negative. The owners go out of their way to make their guests welcome. To the home made bread, cakes and bacon & eggs on arrival, everything perfect .

Location was perfect, we were going to a wedding at the bell, great distance and location.

Absolutely lovely. Comfy bed. Medium. Comfy pillows soft luxury linens and towels. Well appointed kitchen area. Full size hob oven fridge freezer. Lovely hosts. Beautiful garden as well as somewhere to sit outside. Large wet-room sorry forgot to take a photo. We stayed for a week. Plenty of room. Thank you so much for your welcome pack and hospitality.

We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. Ann left us a welcome pack of bacon, eggs,butter ,milk, and fresh bread. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, with a lot of extra comforts to make it feel like home from home. We always self cater and there was everything in the kitchen that we could need. The shower room looked modern and clean. The bed was a comfortable double and there was plenty of storage space for a few days break. We enjoyed having table and chairs right outside the property on the terrace which was a lovely sunny spot for most of the day. A short walk into Ticehurst and you will find The Bell pub. We only had drinks there but the food looked nice. There is a post office and a small shop which stocks everything you could need. There is a chemist and several other independent shops locally too. Ticehurst was a great base to explore the beautiful countryside. We visited Scotney Castle, Bewl Water , Herstmonceux castle, and Sheffield Park and Gardens. Just a mile or so away was Pashley Manor Gardens which are also worth a visit.

Everything! The cottage is decorated throughout to a high standard, tasteful touches. Shower was excellent and the bed very comfy. The welcoming pack of homemade bread, cup cakes, bacon, eggs, butter milk, tea and coffee was very much appreciated. We loved our heart chocs too. Ann and her husband are lovely warm people, that make you feel at home, right from the start - nothing is too much trouble and we enjoyed our chats with them. Highly recommend this place, we hope to come back again. :)

Everything was fantastic - nothing to not like!

We loved everything about the property. Beautiful surrounding countryside, Ann & Ian the hosts are so warm & friendly, and the cottage is lovely. Everything we needed was there , including a fresh baked loaf, cup cakes, and milk eggs and bacon in the fridge! absolutely spotless throughout . Ann & Ian made us so welcome, so much so we are returning in September !
