Chilly bathroom

The situation was great. It was nice and spacious and had all we needed for a comfortable stay.

Lots of hot water, nice enough view, handy location. Nice sofas. Owner on site able to respond.

The image in the ad showed a garden which looked like it had paved area with chairs etc, pots. In reality, no paving just stones and broken garden furniture. Cupboard door handle broken. Uneven lino in hall.

It was a comfortable environment for a base to our hill-walking and family holiday excursions

Some general maintenance would have improved the experience. I had to de-hair the shower plug (a very large amount of hair was blocking the drain) due to the shower tray almost flooding. There is no unit in the bathroom for placing toiletries or any toothbrush/paste holders Several bulbs in lamps did not work. The tumble dryer's condenser and rear air intake need cleaned. I also had to empty it's water tank. There was very little space in the kitchen for storing food There was a broken coat hanger in the hallway that had a sharp edge this should be replaced. I appreciate that island live is difficult but these issues are easily solved.

Great location, quiet, idyllic, clean, tidy and welcoming.

Beds were alright but not amazing. Combine that with midsummer nights in the highlands = very little sleep!

A superb location, overlooking the sea and the mountains and easy to explore the island. Could see eagles and deer without leaving the cottage! Appeared smaller in the photos online, lovely and spacious!
