Wellfield Farmhouse

Wonderful, beautiful, quiet location. Everything was great with a good price. I feel we were so lucky to of got this place to stay. Would like to stay there again in the future when travelling to ireland.

Wellfield Farmhouse As I drove down the chestnut-lined country lane, six friendly visitors came running to the fence that marked the boundary between the road and the fields. A first-time visitor to Ireland, I was quickly and joyfully welcomed to the farm. The white farmhouse glowed softly, illuminating the path as the car found a familiar spot beside the front door. I paused for a moment, taking in the red well pump, the neatly trimmed grass, and the gentle air of excitement around me. Somehow, I felt I had come home. The four of us stood there like children in a candy store, turning in circles like ballerinas, taking in the countryside before stepping inside. The red carpet in the entryway reminded us of royalty. Like eager children, we explored every room, our voices echoing through the house with excitement. Beds were chosen quickly two sisters deciding that the twin beds beside the washroom would do just fine, while my wife and I settled happily into the queen room. The kitchen became our gathering place, just as it was back home in Canada. Everything about this farmhouse was welcoming the red doors, the small gravel courtyard, the feeling of stepping back in time. Each morning, I walked down the country lane, following the road bordered by thorn hedges. I waved to passing drivers, all of whom returned the gesture with a smile. I met Sam, the black retriever, and greeted the ponies and horses along my walk. Cows grazed in the distance while clouds drifted over the mountains and sunlight peeked through the apple trees. When I returned, my six four-legged friends came running, kicking their heels in the air as if to say, “David’s back! David’s back come everyone, let’s go greet him!” I reached out over the fence, and now and then one would let me scratch their nose before I turned again toward the red carpet and the laughter inside.

Beautiful , so homely and welcoming . Has everything you could possibly need .

Detalls simples com falta endolls al bany o tovalloler. Altre bany, a mes, falta d'espai per deixar necesser... Falta una tauleta i cadires/tumbones al pati o a la gespa de devant, per gaudir l'espai exterior. Interruptors que no funcionen.

Beautifully spacious house. Ideal for anyone attending wedding nearby at Killshane House. Lovely grounds and outdoor area. Christine was very helpful.

Dial on shower was broken and no lights on the stairs

Idyllic location near Bansha Co Tipperary. The house was homely, warm and beds were very comfortable. Everything and more was there for our stay. Heating on timer when it was needed so very cosy, hot water for showers & fresh towels and a very comfortable living area. Nice gravel courtyard to the rear. A small group of us stayed here as we were attending a wedding in Kilshane House (5 Mins drive). Information booklet in the kitchen had a full directory of local services including taxi's which was very helpful. Surrounding landscape was beautiful and obviously a very equestrian area, which was interesting to see. Ideal location for a group attending a function in Kilshane House or a family looking for a countryside get away.

We could not fault the host or property. The images of the modernised old cottage does not give a true reflection of how fabulous this property is.
