Location good, woodland walks across the street. Apartment fresh and lots lots of modern equipment. Coffee 'old Bakery' cafe 5 minutes walk away was excellent. The Spar for grocery shopping was handy and fine for a few days.

Small details re servicing; soap containers in bathroom empty, no dishwasher tablets (not that one needed a dishwasher for two people but if there is a dishwasher there needs to be dish washer tablets supplied! Bathroom towels very basic and only one towel per person supplied. Should be extra towels, toilet paper and toiletries (and tea towels) if staying a few days. The stairs to the living room were very steep and narrow and are 'an accident waiting to happen' if the guests are older or even slightly unsteady on their feet! Fortunately the bedroom and bathroom are on downstairs floor so don't need to get luggage upstairs. The advertised 'view' was onto busy (for country town) street and across it; the advertised seating area outside was not where one would want to sit; no garden etc. The pub was overpriced and limited in food offerings. A car would make a difference as surrounding countryside is beautiful but weather not always amendable to long walks! Bus service OK but need to plan ahead.

We chose Carrbridge as a base for exploring the Cairngorms area as everything is just a few miles away. We found Strathspey Cottage on Booking.Com and it looked perfect. There is ample parking at the side of the house, and easy access through the gate into the property. The bedroom and bathroom are downstairs, and the kitchen and living room upstairs. The kitchen had everything needed for our stay, and the living room was comfortable with a flat screen TV. The Wi-Fi was good, although better downstairs than upstairs. The bedroom has a massive bed which is very comfortable, and even has a TV on the wall. Outside there is a small paved area with a table and two chairs, perfect for a sundowner in the glorious weather we had during our stay. We had our dog with us, and right across the road is access to the Carrbridge woodland walks. This is a gem of a cottage, we are so glad we booked it and will definitely stay again if we're in the area.

Location is great ! Cottage size was good ! Kitchen has everything!

Could do with more than just "one" toilet roll!.... And maybe have a kitchen roll. Little more attention to detail in cleaning.

V clean and tidy. Kitchen had everything you might need. Directly opposite was a wood to walk the dog

This is not a criticism but just for information- the microwave door was a little temperamental and I meant to leave a note saying so but forgot. Unless you used the microwave you wouldn’t know.

Beautiful authentic little cottage with everything you would possibly need. It was exeptionally clean, would highly recommend.
